Sales of Barbie have dropped by upwards of 30% in certain years, and the loss is attributed to sales of Bratz dolls, especially in the United Kingdom. In a way, Bratz dolls are more appropriate for young kids than Barbies. A lot of industry insiders believe that Barbie cannot hold the top position forever. There’s seemingly no limit to what the Bratz can do. Bratz dolls have very funky appearances. Nevertheless, Barbies are still selling quite well – Barbie Princess Liana Doll is a toy everyone is talking about this season.
Barbie dolls are the hot Christmas toys of all time in the category of fashion dolls. Ruth Handler created Barbie dolls, and they were marketed and mass-manufactured in 1959 by Mattel, Inc. After the inception, the dolls became enormously popular. Barbie has branched out into every realm imaginable. The original purpose of the Barbie dolls was to show the resourcefulness of women.
